Let's get this straight: the touchscreen isnt that good to start with, i'll touch one corner and it'll select the exact opposite or i push as hard as i can and it wont register sometimes th screen registers a click but the phone wont. Call quality was great and it's ability to carry a signial even in fringe areas like my own home,. It was sitting on my lap, I forgot it was there and it made a short drop about 3 feet to the floor. Other than that one thing, the phone is great for everyone. The camera application uses the upper display as the viewfinder.
The fit and finsih of the phone is excellent. Sound quality and reception actually improve when the phone is slid open and not operating in the closed position. First, the design of the phone was well thought-out. And to the fact they only serve to drain the battery, and I see no reason why anyone would leave them on. You can tell you are using a new generation phone. After many talks with Verizon customer service only to have them tell me over and over that I am the only one who has reported the problem and that I must have a bad phone or card, I finally exchanged both and the new one is the same way. I've held and owned phones in the past that have felt like they would break if you weren't careful with them; not so with the Venus. We paid very little for these phones through Verizon since we were out of contract but I would never pay the full asking price for them. This could appeal to some people, but I turned both the sound and vibration off.

The touch navigation keys are rediculous. I like the feel of it and the size is just right for what it can do. I was shocked at how poor the durability was. Video buffering is pretty quickly and the crisp and bright screen makes the clips look good. The touch screen technology indeed adds to its appeal. Keeping all of my tunes on the 4gig microsd card free's up the internal memory and improves the phones performance.
